Ricchina's Wedding Published in Les inRocks
Today's interview in Les inRocks/France.
I met Ricchina and her mother Janice on a train, broken down and delayed on the tracks for four hours in Washington, D.C. Ricchina has down syndrome. A long conversation lead to talk of Ricchina's dream of one day marrying. This photo essay documents her wedding themed surprise 25th birthday party. On this day in a small Italian neighborhood in South Philly, Ricchina is celebrated as a bride by family, friends and neighbors. There is no groom.

Farewell to Romania
Its been fun and thanks for following. Romania was everything we could have possibly hoped for and so much more. We dined in cafes, toured castles, winded our way down the hairpin turns of the Transfaragasan Pass and ate and drank our weight in farmer's cheese, pork, polenta and beer. Now it's time to waddle on home.
